The 2010 Camperdown Cruise:
Friday 22nd October to Sunday 24th October 2010

Previous Cruises have been held in late September, but the 2010 Cruise will be held on Friday 22nd October -Sunday 24th October 2010, throughout the historic tree lined main street of Camperdown, taking in the town’s iconic clocktower, historic buildings and the grand old dame, the restored Theatre Royal.

Here’s a taster of the things that will be happening this 2010 Camperdown Cruise Rockabilly Weekend (*Please note this is subject to change).

· Live 50’s/rockabilly music by 10 bands; Real Gone Cats, Ritchie Valens & more... plus DJ Vegas & DJ Memphis The DJ's will be spinning discs in the Rock'n'Roll Hall. Rockabilly Bands will perform live in the Theatre Royal, also at The Hampden Hotel & under the Elms at the Clocktower Stage.

· Two dances at the historic Theatre Royal, including a traditional 50’s diner menu on the Friday night;

· Rock ‘n’ roll dancing-dance displays dance competitions for the more experienced to live music and possibly beginner dance lessons so you and your partner can have a jive; 

· Custom, classic car and hot rod displays;

· Art exhibitions and your chance to get involved through joining the Kustom Lane art exhibition and/or our pin-striping workshop;

· Trade stalls and a 50’s collectible flea market in Camperdown’s famous avenue;

· Fashion parades and your chance to strut in your best 50’s outfits and win great prizes;

· Not one but two of the Hampden Hotel’s Big BBQ Breakfasts - the perfect way to start your day;

· A new scenic cruise route, plus the traditional cruise to Model Barn;

· Kids colouring competition, prizes & giveaways and so much more!
